KHL 7 January 2020 - Kunlun in Minsk

7 January 2020

Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg vs. Sibir Novosibirsk

The second stop of what looks like a rather regional road trip for Sibir is Yekaterinburg. Game one in Magnitogorsk ended in a loss, but surely Sibir will be looking to bounce back against Avto to get some valuable points in the quest for a berth in the Gagarin Cup.

Dinamo Minsk vs. Kunlun Red Star

Kunlun is amongst the teams ahead of schedule, with currently 46 games played this season already. They definitely need to make the most of their stop at Western bottom strugglers Dinamo Minsk to make sure to pick up maximum points in the race for a playoff spot in the East.

Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod vs. Admiral Vladivostok

Before stopping in Yekaterinburg on the way home to the Pacific Coast, Admiral has a game to play at Torpedo, which is currently just holding on to eighth position in the Western Conference. For Admiral, any point going into the race for a playoff spot in the East however is very valuable. Even far away from home, they cannot be complacent in this race now.

Spartak Moscow vs. SKA St. Petersburg

After a KHL record loss in Helsinki, SKA has bounced back with a convincing win in Minsk. They may be a few points behind the lead in the Western Conference, but still hold the lead in their division. Jokerit may give them a run for their money however, with some games still in hand.
