Severstal Cherepovets vs. Salavat Yulaev Ufa

The Green Men left it really late in their first game in Moscow against HC Dynamo, scoring two goals in the last six minutes of regulation time. They finally won the game in overtime thanks to a goal from Artyom Sergeyev. Ufa then traveled on to Cherepovets, where they will take on Severstal, who beat Sibir in their first match of the season, also by 3-2 goals, but in regulation time.

Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg vs. CSKA Moscow

Two days after a fairly easy task at home against Dinamo Riga, a sterner opposition will turn up. 2018 finalists CSKA Moscow arrive off the back of a convincing result away in Chelyabinsk, where they won 3-0 and Ilya Sorokin had his first shutout of the season, albeit only from 16 shots.

Metallurg Magnitogorsk vs. Dinamo Riga

Part two of the short but hefty away trip to the Ural takes the KHL's Latvian team to Magnitogorsk. The hosts will surely look to build on their performance on Sunday against Slovan Bratislava, a match they won 5-1:

Traktor Chelyabinsk vs. Slovan Bratislava

Match two of the regular season should be way easier than the first one for Traktor. Slovan can not be rated quite as highly as CSKA. Slovan for their part are on a tough trip first up, which may quickly cause some disappointment in a team that is widely expected to struggle this season:
